CM Solarization Program for Agricultural Tube Wells
The CM Solarization Program aims to promote solar-powered irrigation to help farmers deal with climate change. Under this program, 8,000 tube wells that currently run on electricity or diesel will be converted to solar energy. Farmers will receive financial support, including a subsidy of PKR 500,000 for a 10 KW solar system.

Eligibility Criteria Who Can Apply?
Farmers interested in the solarization program can apply if they meet the following criteria
Applicants must be Punjab residents with a valid CNIC, own at least 1 acre of land in the district of application, and provide proof of ownership (Fard-e-Malakiat). Each family is limited to one solar system with capacities of 10KW, 15KW, or 20KW. For electric tube well applications, ownership and the latest paid electricity bill are required, and applicants with unpaid bills or defaults are ineligible. The electric connection must be installed by October 30, 2024, and the tube well must have a 3-phase electric connection.
